World Series trophy won by Braves coming to ¶¶Òõ̽̽App
Atlanta Braves fans will have a chance to take photos with the 2021 World Series trophy Feb. 25 on the University of North Georgia's (¶¶Òõ̽̽App) Dahlonega Campus.
The trophy will be on display at Haines and Carolyn Hill Stadium at Lynn Cottrell Park, the home of ¶¶Òõ̽̽App's softball team, from 2-6 p.m. Feb. 25. Admission to the event will be $5 per person (ages 10 and up) and includes admission to the ¶¶Òõ̽̽App baseball game against Catawba College, set for 4 p.m. that day. Tickets can be purchased through .
The event is free to all ¶¶Òõ̽̽App students, faculty and staff through the ¶¶Òõ̽̽App Connect app.
"A Nighthawk baseball game is the perfect place for our local and campus communities to share in the excitement surrounding the Braves' World Series championship," , ¶¶Òõ̽̽App associate athletic director for external operations, said. "There is a large contingency of Braves fans in our local area and we are looking forward to pairing the trophy photo opportunity with some of the country's best NCAA Division II baseball."
Fans are encouraged to park near Haines & Carolyn Hill Stadium on Barlow Road in Dahlonega. ¶¶Òõ̽̽App Public Safety officers will be on site to help direct traffic and shuttles will be made available if overflow parking is required.
The trophy's stop in Dahlonega is one of 151 on the tour, commemorating 151 years of Braves baseball.
"We felt the tremendous support of Braves Country throughout the season and particularly in the postseason, and we are taking this championship on the road to fans across the Southeast so that they can share in the joy and celebration of this historic victory," Derek Schiller, president and CEO of the Braves, said.

Reaves named national softball Player of Year
¶¶Òõ̽̽App senior center fielder Sydnee Reaves has been named the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division II Player of the Year.
Nighthawks advance to NCAA championship
The ¶¶Òõ̽̽App softball team has punched its ticket to the NCAA Division II championship for the fifth time in six seasons. It opens the event at 6:30 p.m. May 28 against McKendree.
McGill takes reins as brigade commander
Grace McGill has been named Corps of Cadets brigade commander for 2026-27. She is also a captain on the ¶¶Òõ̽̽App women's soccer team.
Softball team bounces back into Super Regional
The ¶¶Òõ̽̽App softball team tallied four wins in a row after a loss in its NCAA tournament opener, setting up a May 21-22 home Super Regional matchup with Francis Marion.
