The University of North Georgia Press released the second book of the Finding Milo series on Jan. 25. The latest installment in the series helps even the most reluctant readers learn their ABCs, while exploring different geographic areas throughout California.

"California ABCs" details the adventure of the always curious pup Milo as he visits many of California's cities, famous and little-known landmarks, and state parks and recreational areas. Milo's exploration of California, like his previous tour of Georgia, is targeted for classroom use, focusing on social studies, popular culture, and geography.

Dr. Christopher Jespersen, dean of the College of Arts & Letters, wrote the book, and Josie Vrooman Toney, administrative assistant to the vice president of University Relations, illustrated it.

"We hope to lift 'Georgia ABCs' and 'California ABCs' to increase awareness of our growing collection of children's picture books," Dr. BJ Robinson, director of ¶¶Òõ̽̽App Press, said.

The Finding Milo series and the ¶¶Òõ̽̽App Legacy series are the two children's book series ¶¶Òõ̽̽App Press has published. All proceeds from the ¶¶Òõ̽̽App Legacy series help develop scholarships for ¶¶Òõ̽̽App students.
