Lilic named interim men's soccer coach
, who has spent the last two seasons on the University of North Georgia (¶¶Òõ̽̽App) men's soccer staff, has been named the interim head coach for the 2023 season.
"Anel brings a vested commitment and dedication to the men's soccer program, having served as the lead assistant, graduate assistant and a volunteer assistant over the last decade," Director of Athletics said. "He will receive our department's full support as we move forward and continue to prepare for the upcoming 2023 season."
Prior to his time at ¶¶Òõ̽̽App, Lilic worked with Atlanta United as a goalkeepers coach in the Regional Development School after a stint with Georgia Southern University's women's soccer program. Prior to that, Lilic served as head coach at Flowery Branch High School, working with the girls' soccer program.
In his two-year tenure at Flowery Branch, the Lady Falcons were 41-4-2 and reached the state semifinal and state championship.
Lilic also served as a head coach for several age groups on the boys' side at Gwinnett Soccer Academy and is a goalkeeper coach with the Olympic Development Program.
Collegiately, he worked in Dahlonega as a graduate assistant and volunteer assistant with the ¶¶Òõ̽̽App men's soccer for six years beginning in 2013.
Lilic moved to Georgia from Sarajevo, Bosnia. He played collegiate soccer at Emmanuel College, where he earned All-Region honors.
Reaves named national softball Player of Year
¶¶Òõ̽̽App senior center fielder Sydnee Reaves has been named the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division II Player of the Year.
Nighthawks advance to NCAA championship
The ¶¶Òõ̽̽App softball team has punched its ticket to the NCAA Division II championship for the fifth time in six seasons. It opens the event at 6:30 p.m. May 28 against McKendree.
McGill takes reins as brigade commander
Grace McGill has been named Corps of Cadets brigade commander for 2026-27. She is also a captain on the ¶¶Òõ̽̽App women's soccer team.
Softball team bounces back into Super Regional
The ¶¶Òõ̽̽App softball team tallied four wins in a row after a loss in its NCAA tournament opener, setting up a May 21-22 home Super Regional matchup with Francis Marion.
